Abia State according to many is trapped with bad leadership that needs only the grace and intervention of God to be free. This they said has completely relegated the development of the state to the background thereby aiding self-interest projects and enriching individuals to the detriment of the people.

The 2015 general election in the state and its entire struggle to make a change of a particular line of leadership especially the governorship seat which many said is much responsible for the poor development of the state has come and gone with every effort prove abortive.

To some the scenario is another many years of flaws, while others see it as perpetual darkness that takes the grace of God to clear.

The fight of Dr. Uche Sampson Ogah to bring about the much desired change for Abians through the Peoples Democratic Party PDP 2015 governorship primaries and the entre court struggles still remain fresh in the mind of the people, but are in worry if Ogah would still continue the fight until Abians are given some breath of fresh air.
Today many believe that the leadership foundation of Abia State need a total breakdown and new one should be laid so as to give the people a sense of belonging, and chart a new cause for the development of the state.

There is this insinuations making around that the present Government in the state is about to fall into a major political crack with its predecessor as a result of internal crisis over power control. This Abians attributed as the major problem that trapped the development of the state for almost a decade.

Nwabueze Onwuneme in a Facebook post recently said, “True Abians that crave change in Abia state in 2019 should pray that the trio of Ikpeazu, T.A, Orji and his power drunk son Chinedu do not quarrel till after 2019 elections and T.A Orji and Chinedu should still remain influential as they are still in Ikpeazu Govt. Good political Strategist I guess would read in between the line and understand what I mean.”

Also in his post Chukwuma Kinsley said, “Abia State need sanitization from godfatherism, and until that happen, the state will not move forward.”

It could be recalled that Uche Ogah refused to toe the line of godfatherism when he indicated interest to run for governorship seat of the state which many said contributed immensely for denying him the PDP ticket in 2015 even when it was obvious that the Abia born business mogul got massive support of the people.

Findings revealed that Abians still believe that Uche Ogah hold the solution to the total rebuild and transformation of the state, and urge him to make his intention known over 2019.
