The 2019 Foundation project which took place on Thursday, the same say with St. Valentine’s Day celebration, rolled out scholarship scheme for the eleven (11) wards in Arochukwu local government area of Abia State.
This Foundation, according to the founder Rev. Barr. Sally Williams Chinebu (PhD) the Ada Mazi of Arochukwu Ancient Kingdom will also be at the forefront of empowering women and youth in Arochukwu and beyond for self reliance. We gathered that cassava processing machines, grinding machines, clippers, sewing machines and food items were provided to beneficiaries.
She described education and empowerment as the basic needs of the society. “You educate a child you educate a nation, you empower a man or a woman he or she can be able to take care of the family” she said.
She stressed that the project is not a political one but her effort to promote Democracy. “It’s something I do during Christmas season or Easter season but this period to support democracy in Nigeria, to support the return of Mohammadu Buhari, to support election of Uchechukwu Samson Ogah because Abia state needs change, hundred percent change.
“And I know that Uchechukwu Samson Ogah, is a child of God, a young man that God has given us for a season like this. He will bring that expected change to Abia state.
”I want a proper person to be elected I’m talking of Mohammadu Buhari. He’s a man that people do not understand, he might be slow in working but my president has come to revive the Nigeria economy to change a lot of things.
“You can see Enugu road is being constructed and a serious work going on in Abia state and I believe that he’s faithful enough to give us the opportunity to produce a president come 2023 so that’s why I decided to do this empowerment this season. I have 11 wards in Arochukwu local government and my dream and desire is to see that all of my 11 wards vote for Buhari, vote for Uche Ogah, vote for Orji Uzor Kalu and all APC candidates” she said.
22 children benefitted from the initial scholarship scheme of the Foundation while various items were distributed to empower people at the 11 wards.
