You Can’t Shut Igbo out, Clergy Tells APC, Makes Case For OUK

A Presbyterian clergy, Rev Ukaegbu Emmanuel has warned the ruling APC against shutting the Igbo out of power equation.

Rev. Emmanuel expressed surprise that the party has not shown readiness to support the South East zone to produce the Senate President, since the Northern Nigeria has produced the president and the South West produced the vice president.

In a release made available to ABN TV on Wednesday, he called on the party to support the Abia North Senator-elect, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu to wear the crown of the Deputy Senate President since it has zoned the Senate Presidency to the North East.

He said this will give the South East zone a sense of belonging, insisting that Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu represents the collective voice of the Igbo.
