Abaribe defies Nnamdi Kanu’s threat, receives award in United States
A group, World Igbo Congress (WIC) at the weekend conferred on the Minority leader of the Senate, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe the award of Nma Agha Ndigbo (sword) in Houston, Texas United States, ABN TV reports.
The 2019 prestigious Distinguished Service Award our correspondent gathered is in recognition of the lawmaker’s courage, consistency and the defence of rule of law and the people’s rights in democracy.

The leader of IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu had earlier threatened to attack Igbo leaders sighted anywhere around the world after the attack of former senate President, Ike Ekweremadu.
Also, the leader of the group had threatened to arrest President Muhammadu Buhari in Japan where he had attended an official engagement at the weekend.
Buhari had since returned to Nigeria.
