The Federal High Court in Abuja adjourned ruling on the discharge of trial against Sambo Dasuki.
The ruling was adjourned to further notice.
It was expected that the judge presiding over the case, Ademola Adeniyi, would rule on Dasuki’s application to stall trial pending the compliance of the government on an order of the court granting him bail.
However, the court clerk told Newsmen that the matter had being adjourned till further notice. He said the court is yet to fix a date for the ruling on the application.
He said: “Until I communicate with the parties involved, that’s when I can give you a date.”
But source within the court told Newsmen that the reason for the adjournment is that the Easter break for the judge’s ends today, April 4.
He also said that there is a circular passed within the court in relation to that.
“You know the Easter break for the judge’s end today because their break is usually two weeks from Easter. So resumption is from tomorrow,” the source who is not authorized to speak on the matter said.
