A report coming from our correspondents in Port Harcourt, Choba precisely have it that there is high tension in the capital city of Rivers State following the killing of a student by the police during protest by the students of University of Port Harcourt this morning on Moday 11,over hike in tuition fees.
The Nigerian Police has made it a norm to always shoot at unarmed and peaceful protesters across the South East and South South region of the country.
According to eyewitnesses, the president, Faculty of Management, Peter ofurum, a final year student who hails from Imo State, Studying accounting before he met his untimely death, was shot twice at close range by a Nigerian police.
Ofurum was rushed to a hospital, but unfortunately he died from profuse bleeding.
