The Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has said that he has not yet completed his assignment on earth, and therefore not going to die soon, as only God can decide his fate, and not political detractors.
He made this known to journalists in Owerri, while speaking at his spibat residence, days after he returned to Imo State after spending seventeen days in overseas.
The Governor who was flanked by his aides said that rumours usually surround Leaders, pointing out that what is important is that he is hale and hearty, and never visited any doctor while away, but went to visit his daughter who just put to bed.
He said that the Government is aware of those rumour mongers, whose stock in trade is to foul the air and cause confusion in the polity, adding that soon nemesis will catch up with them.
Okorocha maintained that over 90% of Imo citizens are in support of his rescue mission administration, pointing out that that is why the few disgruntled minority that is peddling ungodly rumours about him will fail.
He said no amount of blackmail can deter him from completing his mission in Imo Government House.
The Governor yesterday mocked rumour peddlers, pointing out that he is still around kicking and will embark on the last lap of his urban renewal in owerri with the relocation of Eke Ukwu Owere, as he promised to finish all construction works going on in Owerri Immediately the rains slow down.
He also promised to relocate the bulldozers to Okigwe, where he will transform the town to another big city in Imo state.
