The High Court Justice Owen Tagu was told, the late pastor had been invited by their priest, Zvidzai Muchengeti to attend the home in the Muzarabani district, which is situated along the Mozambique-Zimbabwe border.
These five family men had requested the prophet to help deliver them from these wild evil spirits responsible for untimely deaths in the family for decades. The prophet then ordered his followers, family members inclusive to dig up a grave and bury him alive so he could permanently bind the said evil spirits. As it turned out to be, the said evil spirits bound him. After several hours, the followers unearthed him just to discover his corpse.
Father Zvidzai who is the State witness told the High Court that Shamiso helped the men to dig his own grave before praying and jumping inside. He continued that after laying face down in the grave, he ordered his followers to start covering him with soil.
