22 Boko Haram Militants Killed In Clash With Army
On Sunday, at about 1.00am, some suspected remnants of Boko Haram fighters attacked Nigerian troops at Logomani along Dikwa-Gambarou road, Borno State.
The attack which lasted for about an hour was reported to be in 3 waves involving the use of 36 Hand Grenades and Rocket Propelled Launchers.
It was later repelled by the army. 22 Boko Haram fighters and 4 soldiers were killed, while 2 soldiers were wounded in action.
Items recovered were 2 AK-47 Rifles, 1 FN Rifle, 1 G3 Rifle and some 36 Hand grenades.
The wounded in action were evacuated for further medical treatment. The location has been reinforced and replenished while the troops have continued their clearance operations.
