EFL Nigerian Players Round up: Moses triumphs over Musa



Chelsea came from two goals down to beat Leicester City 4-2 at the King Power Stadium. Two Super Eagles stars made the starting lineup for both teams.

Victor Moses who lasted 120 minutes for Chelsea and Ahmed Musa who was subbed out in the 76th minute. That was before his cross caused series of errors for the Chelsea defence in Leceister’s first goal in the first half. Victor Moses was very impressive all night long through out Normal time when the game finished 2-2. Chelsea scored 2 more goals to complete a remarkable turn around to win 4-2

Super Eagles midfielder Hope Akpan played 90 minutes for Blackburn Rovers’ 1-0 loss at Leeds United. Sporting
jersey number 21, he received a yellow card in the 11th minute.

Ex- golden Eaglets trainee Ovie Ejaria made his competitive debut for
Liverpool as they walloped Derby County 3-0 at iPro Stadium. The
midfielder came off the bench in the 78th minute.

Nigerian goalkeeper Carl Ikeme watched from the side lines as Wolves
lost 2-0 to Newcastle .

Another Super eagles star Alex Iwobi was rested by Arsen Wenger as
Arsenal progressed with a 4-0 thrashing of Nothingham Forest.
