Armed agents of the Department of State Security on Friday morning invaded the offices of the National Youth Council of Nigeria headed by the Senior Special Adviser on Youth Matters to Senate President, Ikenga Imo Chinyere, and arrested him and three others.
The offices were ransacked after the security agents used sledge hammers and other tools to force their way in. They made away with documents and other items in the raid which it is feared may be politically motivated.
There has been no word from DSS or the Senate president.
More details later.
