I humbly advise Governors Rochas Okorocha and Willie Obiano of Imo and Anambra respectively to repect the pride and integrity of the Igbo nation if they can’t respect them selves and the exalted offices they both occupy.
As far as I’m concerned the ongoing verbal war between the duo is unnecessary, uncalled for, childish, and embarrassing to all of us who believe that it’s disgraceful, insensitive and disrespectful for two Governors from two sister states, and from a zone that’s having serious political/leadership challenges to engage in this destructive and destabilizing verbal warfare at this critical moment in our existence as a zone, when we should be striving to reorganize, unify and reintegrate our people and zone into the mainstream of Nigerian politics and leadership.
This is not the time to take sides with the warring parties, because as far as I’m concerned, non had a valid case to have warranted the careless firing of those verbal venoms we saw in the last few days.
These two Governors and their supporters should please bury the hatchet while I enjoin their media aides to also observe the cease fire for the sake of the Igbo nation.
One of the most popular slangs of the Biafrans during the Nigeria vs
Biafra war was, “Onye Ndi Iro Gbara Gburugburu Na Eche Ndu Ya Nche Mgbenile, Umu Biafra, Unu Ehikwala Ura”.
Ogwum na onu!
