As part of his commitment and determination to give his people effective representation, the member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia federal constituency at the green chamber of the National Assembly, Hon. Uko Nkole yesterday handed over a power substation to Hope Waddel university and its soroundings to boost academic activities in the instituton and enhance the standard of living of its Okagwe Ohafia residents.
Hon. Nkole said his election will amount to nothing if he does not use it to attract projects that will give the people’s life a meaning, urging them to expect more as he will not rest on his oars till his constituency is flooded with projects.
“I don’t believe in flaging off projects without executing it, I believe in conclusion & handover”, Hon. Nkole concluded.
Receiving the project on behalf of the university and community, Most Rev Nze Nsi Eke thanked the honourable member, describing him as a representative with a difference. He further stated that Presbyterian Church of Nigeria is highly appreciative of the gesture, urging other politicians to emulate the footsteps of Hon. Nkole.
The community could not hide their joy as they danced joyfully, hipping encomiums of the honourable member for giving them a dedicated power line and promised to fully lend their support in his future political ambitions.
In attendance at the occasion are His Emmeunen Prelate and Moderator General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church, Most Rev Nze Nsi Eke, Rt Rev. Ibeawuchi Agwu and Rev Osondu Ukpai (Moderator East Synod). Others are Rev Ibe Uduma Obasi (Clergy – Presbyterian church Ndoki Akwaete), Rev Ezera Ume Onwukwe, Rev. Chukwuma Kalu Okorie, Rev. Anthony Ufere, Rev. Precious Okereke and host of others.
