The people of Abiriba community through the Enachioken of Abiriba, HRM, Eze Kalu Kalu Ogbu has expressed satisfaction and pledges to provide every necessary support for the realization of the bill for an act to Establish The Federal Polytechnic Abiriba, Abia State sponsored by the House of Representatives Member, Arochukuw-Ohafia federal constituency, Hon. Uko Nkole which has passed second reading.
The Abiriba monarch made this known while receiving Hon. Uko Nkole who came to pay him a courtesy visit at his palace on Friday 9th March, 2018.
Hon. Uko while addressing the Abiriba Ezie in council said he came to acquaint them of his projects in Abiriba and hand over the contractor handling the construction of the Amanta Health Centre to the community, a project which he attracted including the donation of school desks to Amamba/Ukpo Community School to alleviate the sufferings of the aged women who find it difficult to get medical attention due to long distance of the General hospital and the pupils of the school whose academic environment due to lack of school desks was not conducive for learning respectively.
In addition, the pragmatic federal lawmaker enumerated his other projects in Abiriba to the Ezie in council to include the recent bill for an act to establish the Federal Polytechnic Abiriba which has passed second reading, the rehabilitation and ongoing reticulation of Abiriba water scheme which has been moribund for years, provision of school desks to Amaogudu Community School and employment of Abiriba sons and daughters into the Federal Civil Service and the Nigerian Navy among others.
Responding, the visibly elated monarch and Enachioken of Abiriba, Eze K. K. Ogbu extolled the pragmatism exhibited by Uko Nkole which has metamorphosed into laudable projects and achievements within his two years in office.
Eze Ogbu Council further lent their voices and pledged their solidarity in all ramifications that could lead to the speedy actualization of the Federal Institution. He said the Abiriba community will always stand by him because he has done what his predecessors couldn’t achieve for the past 16 years. He therefore prayed to God to continue to bless, guide , protect and unleash His wisdom, strength and visions to Uko Nkole in the discharge of his duties and legislative functions.
