The member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency Hon. Uko Nkole says he has fulfilled his promises to facilitate training and empower the unemployed youths in his constituency with the requisite equipment and capital.
In a statement made available to Abia Breaking News, the Federal lawmaker said that the promises were fulfilled yesterday, Tuesday 10th April,2018 at Ozu Abam Town Hall where funds were released to those engaged in small businesses such as petty trading, catering, restaurant and patent medicine dealership to boost their capital base.
Also benefitted in the funds disbursement are; potential computer operators, hair dressing stylists, fashion designers, mechanics etc to commence training immediately as they will be empowered with additional funds and the requisite equipment at the end to start up their own businesses.
The statement also congratulated the beneficiaries and urged them to make best use of the opportunity, adding that more is yet to come. Hon. Uko reiterated his commitment towards bringing poverty to the barest minimum and urged his constituents to keep faith with him.
Hon. Nkole had in the past few days promised to facilitate training for the unemployed youths in his constituency and empower them with the needed tools to become self reliant.
Meanwhile, the Federal lawmaker has promised to introduce a short buses shuttle scheme for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency to alleviate the sufferings of the market women and youths in the area, saying that the buses have already been procured.
He hinted this while answering questions from newsmen at his constituency office in Ebem Ohafia yesterday10th April, 2018.
