As a way of saying thank you to his Isuikwuato-Ummuneochi federal constituency for the massive support given him during his aspiration to the House of Representatives, Chief Amobi Ogah has commenced a series of empowerment with a Thanksgiving service held at the Methodist Church, Onuaku, Uturu, Isuikwuato local government area.
The empowerment programme was also used to formally inaugurate the UGO ABIA GRASSROOTS MOVEMENT, a structure set up by Chief Ogah to garner support for Dr. Uche Ogah’s governorship ambition.
Speaking with Abia Breaking News, the former All Progressives Congress, APC, House of Representatives aspirant, Chief Ogah explained that the empowerment programme is to “thank my people for the massive support they gave me as I aspired.”
According to him, “the empowerment will come in batches. In December, we will gather again for another round.
This is to make my people know that with or without power, they’re not forgotten. It’s also to let them know that if we achieve our aim of taking over Abia government, they will have no regrets but will see the massive change we are talking about.
Chief Ogah who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Pauli Mama Group of Companies also called on Abians to campaign for and support for Dr. Uche Ogah, emphasizing that “Abia will surely rejoice if he wins in 2019.”
Over two hundred persons who benefitted from the philanthropic gesture, got motor cycles, hair dressing machines, vulcanising machines, sewing machines, grinding machines, fathoms of wrappers and scholarships.
Some beneficiaries who spoke to Abia Breaking News expressed happiness over the gesture and promised to work to ensure the election of Dr. Uche Ogah as governor of Abia State in 2019.
Dignitaries at the event include the APC governorship aspirant and his running mate, Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, Rt. Hon. Martins Azubuike, minority leader, Abia state house of Assembly, Hon. Chibuzo Okogbuo, member representing Ummuneochi, Prince Ikedi Ezekwesiri, Abia Central APC senatorial aspirant, Chief Acho Obioma (Chomen), Ottah Kalu (OTK), DG, Uche Ogah Campaign Team, KC Ugboajah, APC Abia North zonal Chairman, Hon. Chris Aja, among others.
Abia Breaking News recalls that Chief Amobi Ogah stepped down his House of Representatives aspiration in order to rally support for his elder brother, Dr. Uche Sampson Ogah, who is the Abia state APC governorship candidate.
