Three pro-Biafra activists detained in Aba Prisons since last year during the “Operation Python Dance” by the Nigerian military in the Southeastern Nigeria, have regained their freedom. They were released on bail by court sitting in Aba, Abia state.
ABN gathered that they were detained on the 12th Of September 2017 at Umuahia and charged among other offences for Terrorism, and remanded in Aba Prisons.
According to the legal representative of IPOB, Ibeh Gift Amarachi “IPOB Leadership secured their Bail and perfection of Bail conditions made, hence their release”. She stated on her Facebook wall.
“The Leadership did not stop at securing their release, but accorded Ten Thousand Naira Transport fare to each of the victims, as the House Rents of Zeruwa Kalu and Emeka Umelor was taken care of, a month before their release. In furtherance, their Bank Account details was taken, as demanded by IPOB Leadership, to fix their health and wellbeing” she added.
The just released members of IPOB thanked their leadership for securing their release, despite the hard times.
