I Never Approved The Inauguration Of Caretaker Committees In Aba Markets, Ikpeazu Warns

The Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has exonerated himself from any approval regarding the inauguration of of caretaker committees in Aba markets.

The governor in a release signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mazi Enyinnaya Appolos urged members of the public to disregard any media report on the approval of such inauguration.

He also directed all members of dissolved boards and committees to hand over government properties in their care to the Chief Security Officer of the relevant markets.

The attention of the Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has been drawn to radio announcements on the inauguration of caretaker committees for some markets and market association in the state, particularly ASMATA, Ariaria International Market, Ekeoha Shopping Centre, Ngwa Road market, Cemetry/Eziukwu Road market, Ochendo Shoe & Bag market and Ubani Ibeku Ultra-Modern Market.

We wish to inform members of the public that the Governor has not approved any new committee or board for any market in the state.

Kindly disregard the purported new committees/boards as announced. All members of dissolved boards and committees should hand over government properties in their care to the Chief Security Officer of the relevant markets.
