The Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has approved the immediate dissolution of the State Executive Council.
The dissolution however did not affect his Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu, the Commissioner for Works, Rt Hon Eziuche Ubani and four other Commissioners.
The governor in a release signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Enyinnaya Appolos thanked the outgoing members of the executive council for their service to the state and directs that they hand over to the relevant Permanent Secretaries.
Though no reason was given for this dissolution, it may not be unconnected with the May 29th inauguration of the governor for a second term.
