The Governorship Petition Tribunal Sitting in Umuahia on Saturday June 1st 2019 Dismissed the Petition filed by Governorship Candidate of the All Progressive Congress in the 2019 election, Dr Uche Ogah against the electoral victory of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.
ABN TV gathered that the Tribunal hinged its decision based on the inability of the petitioner, Dr. Uche Ogah to file his petition within the seven days time frame from the day of declaration of result as stipulated by the law.
The Tribunal had adjourned till today for final judgement after listening to counsel to the petitioner and respondent.
Counsel to Governor Ikpeazu, Wale Olanipekun had argued that the petitioner, Dr Uche Ogah failed to meet up with the mandatory 7 days of service to the respondent, hence the petition should be dismissed for want of merit.
