A member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), who recently passed out from his compulsory one year service has proposed to a female member on their Passing Out Parade (POP).

According to the report, the proposal took place on Thursday, July 25 in Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia State.

The reporter who captured the romantic moment between the two love birds gave their names as Olufemi Bolaji Ahmed (male) and Juliana Effiong (female).

Both members served in the same state, Abia.

While Ahmed did his primary assignment at Technical School, Ovim, Effiong’s was in Madonna Comprehensive College, Ovim.

Ahmed, from Ondo State, is a graduate of Psychology from the University of Ibadan while Miss Effiong, from Akwa Ibom, is a graduate of Economics from Adamawa State University, Yola.

Ahmed was spotted kneeling while other corps members took adorable photos of the beautiful moment.

The apparently surprised female corper said YES to the proposal. It would be safe to say that the lady got a discharge certificate and a ring the same day.

Friends celebrated with the potential couple on their engagement since it was obvious that Olufemi Ahmed was madly in love with his fiancée, Effiong.

He also stated that both of them met during their service year in Abia and he couldn’t imagine a life without her.

“We met during my NYSC days. What I did today is one of my promises for my boundless love for her, she is everything and even more. ”, Ahmed said.
