The Nigeria football fraternity has been hit with yet another casualty with the news of the death of Nigeria International Isaac Promise.
The 31-year old who last played for Austin Bold FC in the USL Championship was the captain of the Nigeria team to the Bejing 2008 Olympics where the country won silver.
Isaac first appeared for the Super Eagles in 2009. He earned 3 caps, and scored one goal.
Promise played professionally for 14 seasons, much of which was spent in Turkey. He scored a total of 77 club goals during his career.
