A Nigerian US-based medical practitioner, Doctor Godwin Maduka has dedicated his recognition as the 2019 man of the year award at the Igbere TV 2019 Leadership award to the less privileged children, the poor and downtrodden children across Nigeria, saying they are his reason for happiness.

Speaking with ABN TV shortly after his award, Dr. Maduka said, “I’m so excited but my excitement is for those children in the hinterlands of Nigeria. Those ones that are struggling, selling banana and peanuts on the street of Nigeria, trying to raise money to go to school. This is the hope.

“Those youths that have gone to school and came back, trying to help their parents, this award represents hope.

“All the youths of Nigeria, I want you to have hope. If I can go from the little village where I grew up to become a triple professor, end up as a double doctorate degree holder, end up at Havard University, and one of the pioneer business in medical sciences in US, came home and be honoured, this is for you” he said.
