The Director, National Broadcast Academy (NBA), Engr. Ajibola Abiola has expressed gratitude to the management of Igbere TV, a foremost online medium and Nigerians for voting the Academy as the 2019 Most Outstanding Media Academy in the just concluded Leadership Award.
Speaking with ABN TV shortly after receiving the award at Sheraton Hotels and Towers in Abuja on Thursday, Engr. Abiola said he is satisfied that efforts of the over six decades training institution is being recognized, adding that this will spur him and the management team to do more.
“As a premier broadcast training institution in Nigeria, it’s been established for the past 62 years. We thank God that our effort is being rewarded. With what we have done, our contribution to national development, we feel very proud that we are recognized” he said.
He said he will continue to take the responsibility of taking the Academy to greater heights as if it’s his personal business.
Engr. Abiola urged other government and non-government organizations to put more efforts in all they do in the overall interest of the country.
While NBA was presented with the 2019 Most Outstanding Media Academy Award of the Year, the Director of the School Engr. Ajibola Abiola was decorated with the 2019 Most Outstanding Media Administrator of the Year Award.
Other awardees include President Muhammadu Buhari, Senate President Ahmed Lawan, former President Goodluck Jonathan, former Speaker of House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara; Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Sen. Godswill Akpabio.
Others were the Minister of Transportation, Mr Rotimi Amaechi; former Governor of Imo state, Sen. Rochas Okorocha; Acting EFCC Chairman, Mr Ibrahim Magu; Oil Tycoon, Daniel Chukwudozie (Dozzy Oil); Rep Benjamin Okezie Kalu, among others.
Las Vegas-based Nigerian Medical Doctor and Anambra born philanthropist, Dr. Godwin Maduka, beat four other prominent Nigerians to emerge “Man of the Year”.
