The Member representing Isiala Ngwa North State Constituency, Rt. Hon. (Barr) Martins Okechukwu Azubuike has urged Abians not to pander to deceits and promises fulfilled in breach but to make a choice between light and darkness.
He made the charge while congratulating Abia APC for on the successful state congress of the party held in Umuahia on Saturday, noting that the lamentations in Abia shall be over if the people can summon the political will to elect only good leaders.
The former Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly also praised the peaceful conduct of APC well attended congresses, describing their conduct as an indication that the party is not only ingrained in the state but is ready to take over come 2019 general elections.
The former National Deputy Chairman, Conference of Speakers also commended the emergence of Hon. Donatus Nwankpa as the State APC Chairman and congratulated him, his Executives and indeed all the elected Executives at the wards and LGAs urging him to use his experience to build the party and enthrone unity across the 17 LGAs and 184 wards in Abia.
He described Hon. Nwankpa as an intelligent leader, whose dexterity and purposeful leadership has so far sustained the party, stressing that his leadership qualities can make APC the number one party in Abia State.
The foremost Governorship Aspirant in the State under the platform of All Progressives Congress(APC) admonished party leaders in the state at all levels to eschew rancour and bitterness and rally support around the elected executives and help promote the party, ensuring that with unity, APC in Abia State is sure of victory in the coming elections.
He praised the Sen. Jonathan Zwingina led Committee for conducting one of the most peaceful APC congresses and thanked the security agencies in the state and the INEC for their presence and observer role during the hitch free exercise and declared that the race for 2019 has started, while challenging Abians not to pander to deceits and promises fulfilled in breach but to make a choice between light and darkness, noting that “our lamentations in Abia shall be over if we can summon the political will to elect only good leaders”.
The governorship aspirant added that “our dear state can become great again if we make the right choices in 2019” and urged Ndi Abia to get their PVCs ready to save our future and that of our generation next.
