An Umuahia based woman mortician, Chioma has revealed her experience with working as an attendant in a popular morgue in Abia state capital, saying it’s normal.
Speaking with ABN TV on Monday, Chioma likened her experience as that of a banker and journalist, saying death is what anyone can fall into, adding that she has seen it a lot.
The graduate of Economics who has been dressing dead bodies in the last 6 years stated that she lost her daddy while in the second year in the university, leaving her with the responsibility of catering for herself.
While expressing satisfaction with the level of patronage in the business, she stated that being alive is a privilege, advising the living to be thankful to God for life.
Chioma however expressed regret that people do not take up mortuary jobs easily, while those who reluctantly accept do not stay for a longer time, insisting that in the past six years she started the job, she has not had an encounter with any ghost.
